1

Yay...fun time with paint. In this month Crusade No. 44, we getting messy with paint but no brushes are allowed.

I used to paint with my fingers. However, this month challenge we will using those scraping device like an old credit card.

The following one was experimented with masks and stencils from Tim Holtz

Then, scraped with few layers of paints.

For the second attempt, I freely applied layers of gesso
Then, after its get dry (I used hot gun to expedite the process)
Applied few drops of paint randomly on top of it

Then, scraped it horizontally and vertically.

Wow! Lay Hoon, these are fabulous pages! Love the gear masks - the smooshy paint makes them look so abstract. Terrific scraping - great tip about putting blobs of paint directly onto your page. Thanks for sharing with the team!

Very cool scraping! I love the last one where you put colors on top of gesso...the white really contrasts and the texture is fabulous!

I love the different effects you achieved -- some vibrant and some very soft and muted. I want that gear mask -- very punkish.

Love what you did with those stencils, and your colors are yummy. I did the blobs on the paper too, )mostly cuz I didn't want to have to clean another palette). Nice work. -Kim
