First painting in 2018

Hello dear, it have been a while I have not do any posting on this blog.

Creativity comes in seasons. There’s a time to harvest your ideas. And there’s a time to let the field sit fallow.

One of the day, I decided to revive the painting that sit on the desk for years.
Original painting (Old)
(Process) To destroy
I add in darker color, like black, purple, brown to overlay the original painting.
I have nothing in my mind. But just comfort to myself, let your inner self direct you .

Through the painting process, I learn to let go, to believe and trust that everything will fine.

Pursue progress instead of chasing perfection. (Robin Sharma)

And after half an hour ...the new piece comes to life.

There's path in me.
I just need to surrender and believe its will lead me to the way I supposed to be in.

(Painting #10) A girl who dreamed of Santorini Blue

(Finished painting)

I have yet to pick up painting skill, consider that one day I shall attend a formal painting class.

(A bit of my painting process): I have no idea what am I want to paint, start with putting some (more) acrylic onto the paper, and see how the shape and color tone lead me to next stage. I believe in the flow from inner me, without disturbing the flow with pencil line or any marks. I enjoyed this type of meditation, no other thoughts in mind but just want to have fun.

You are allowed to be yourself

(before)

my canvas painting that I did few weeks back.

I fear that I could spoil the painting if I add more elements

but i decide to give a try .. and bear with whatever mistake i have did

small baby steps ... and the painting is looks like....hmm

(after)

I have not done yet...

The canvas painting will continue to evolve in sometimes later

You are allowed to be yourself,
to make mistakes,
to start again,
to try new things,
to break out of your comfort zone,
to speak your mind,
to sing your own song,
to relax,
to have time to yourself outside of work,
to be content,
to be ambitious,
to sleep in,
to live life YOUR way,
to not understand,
to love again after loss,
to ask questions,
to wonder why,
to forgive,
to apologize,
to stand on your own two feet,
to depend on someone,
to love too much,
to cry,
to achieve,
to dream … you ARE allowed.

Painting #7 : Swirling

Painting that I did last month. It was a sort of collaboration project with my children.
The painting started with my youngest child on her swirls and I continue to add the little girl.

Where am I today ?
I'm confused and probably will try to untangle out.

Painting #6 : Begins from the scratch

I felt that keeping the process of how the painting comes about is vital for me.

My last few week was kinda a rush ... study for exam, career pace work, and take care my family.
Everything is on track and currently is in a break in study before the next 2 subject starts. Hooray for me ..

A bit sad that my envelope to Marion seems lost during transit. Fed-up with postal system.

I never plan on my page, thus this painting only able to fit one mom and one child ,since I have 2 daughter :p

The elements are add in follow the feeling..which i hardly to explain why.
While I posting, and re-look again at my painting...i feel that the painting want to tell me about the comfort zone that I am in now.

Painting #2 : Keep On Showing Up

I've practice painting from 8.30 - 10.30pm (normally we reach home at 8pm after the heavy jam).
The time that I have for me alone.
Thanks for hubby to accompany children,  they love to play 'mine craft' using the tablet.

I learn to accept my imperfect work and keep on showing up :)

Painting #1 : I surrender

my first attempt piece of painting after signed up for Tim's Sally ~ Wild Surrender class last week.
She is offered a special price of $60 for Mother Day (normal is $75).

The reason i signed up for her class is that I admired at her way of painting the face.
I truly convinced by her that painting is not distress things but having fun (from her process via youtube).
And one thing I love/ realized is how she applying layers of layers of colour on your paint which its kinda of therapy meditate. It is okay to be not look good at first but once layer of layers you can start seeing your direction / way which is so much like what our lives is try to teach us in our life.

I surrender.
