Traveler's Notebook (A Travel Companion to Jogyarkarta)

My first Traveler's Notebook from Midori. I took it along with me trip to Jogyarkarta , Indonesia. A great companion indeed, because of the size and weight, strolled with my two girls and it just fit perfectly in our simplified backpack. Some fond memories with family that I would like to craft into this notebook.

The main highlight of the trip ~ Borobudur.

The monument comprises six square platform topped by three circular platforms, is decorated with 2,672 relief panels & 504 Buddhist art. A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

A page recorded on our visit to Ketep Pass (Kabupaten Magelang) , a Volcanogy Museum that depicting the story of activities of the MOUNT MERAPI. The recent Mount Merapi erupted happened in 30.11.2010.

We also visited the Prambanan Temple (Rorojonggrang Temple), the biggest Hindus temple in Indonesia. This temple consist of three main temples dedicated to god Vishnu, Siva and Brahma.

We stayed in the Balinese Guesthouse ~ Cempaka Villa Borobudur and nDalem Gamelan.

My two girls love Indonesia styled fried chicken, almost they have it every meal !

We have chance to treat ourselves good in this trip by having the most expensive coffee in the world !! KOPI LUWAK.

The Luwak (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) denizen of the coffees plantation of Java, Sumantra and Sulawesi, eats only ripest coffee cherries. Unable to digest he coffee beans, the Luwak graciously deposits them on the jungle floor where they are eagerly collected by locals. The stomach acids and enzymatic action involved in this unique fermentation process produced the beans for the world's rarest coffee beverage.
