GPP No.42 ~ Strip Ease

Michelle Ward posts a challenge in her GPP street team blog. This month challenge is 'Strip Ease'.

I used the wire to stitch the page

Used beads for the both edges

Glued the strip of handmade paper and played with spray and mask.

Tada ....

Book of Intentions

This is second book I make in Kelly Kilmer class.

The cover was made from plastic-free cushioned rugged mailer.

The cover page was collage from 2 different images.

Page 1 : used orange-white dotted washi masking for the thin strip.
The width of the journal pages are in size up from one to one page.

Page 2 : the hearth shape and circle shape stamps are real sticker stamps from Japan.

Zakka Restaurant ~ Poco Homemade

Pocohomemade is a zakka store cum restaurant which located in Bangsar, not far from The China Press and New Straits Times office.

Simple, charming, Japanese & Taiwanese aesthetic.

My girls can't wait and start to find their own 'toys'

The menus was sewn on the fabric.

They served Japanese food, love the Japanese Curry (Not spicy at all)...

Find this box of cards in one of the corner.. .

There have many great illustration books ...mostly from Taiwan which was hardly to find it here.

Had a sip of Greentea-Soya... yum yum .... delicious

Memories and Reflection

I prepared for my online journal class with Kelly Kilmer.

Hand dye pages I did previously.
And the cover was made of recycle packaging but wrap with nice wrapping paper.

The calendar page that I cut out.

And I have started another journal book... I like the 'excitement ' of making those journal book and exploring the different ways of binding and making journal.

Organic Journal

Friend of mine gave me this empty food packing box from Japan.

I made this box into Journal Cover

Bind the pages with the paper from food packaging, paper bag, sugar paper which available in my stack.

Balances of images cut out ,
part from the huge stack of images send out to UK, US and Australia.

Sewing those secret fold-out.
