(hardly to get teabag type of Chinese Tea in market)

In 2013/14 , I'm hooked on consuming Japanese Green Tea, tonnes of various types. 

The above are pages recorded the type of Green Tea teabags packaging appeared to me 

and this habit continue unabated in 2015. 

The only difference is that I'm taking tea leaves instead of tea bag for now.

John Ho : I Love Tokyo and You !

Recently I bought a book from Borders, IOI City Mall about an Illustrator from Hong Kong ~ John Ho who quit his job and spend a year in Japan pursuing his dream in studies.

I was mesmerized by his passion  in life. 

He illustrated his living, studying, even his romance story and every minutes count and 

filled with joy and experience.

There are some similarity in Japanese and Chinese character which may vary in meaning. 

So grateful that John Ho shared and included the list of the words in this book (the black box in the left) 

Every doubt that I had before has solved.

I fear that I could spoil the painting if I add more elements

but i decide to give a try .. and bear with whatever mistake i have did 

small baby steps ... and the painting is looks like....hmm

Christmas Paper Bag Journal - 2014

I did my Christmas shopping yesterday at Isetan KLCC Suria. 

I drool on the nice Christmas wrapping paper that Isetan offered !

Even I was felt a bit demotivated with the altitude of the one of the staff in customer service in gift wrapping … but argg ... get rid of those feeling.

I grabbed the newsletter and cut out my favorite images. 

Here are the 2 paper bag book that I make in 2011 and 2010.

I am so happy lately ..as i had completed a semester for my studies and my 9-month task at work has approved by our client. So, I have lots of spare time at night :) for 'ME' time. 

Thus, I started to pick up my travel journal (recent trip to Japan) and fill the page with the memory that still fresh in mind. 

Like lots of friend out there are impressed with the Japanese culture. So do I. 

Never you or I can imagine that a country can be that clean and you can't find a single trash bin along the street.

'Tanah air ku' is the collaboration project between Petronas and local street artists for 6 new graffiti artwork across Kuala Lumpur.

'Tanah Air ku' is a Malay words, which 

Tanah = land

Air = Water

ku = me 

in translation mean ' my home land'. 

The 6 murals are located across Kuala Lumpur, Jalan (means 'street') Sultan Ismail, Jalan Yap Ah Shak, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin and Leboh Ampang.

For the past 2 years, I have used Moleskine to record my days.

2014 ~ Minnie Mouse Limited Edition

Coming to new year, my new companion will be  

2015 ~ Evernote Sketchbook 

The smart stickers ~ with vibrant colors which i believe will make the pages more interesting.  

 The journal includes 3 months Evernote Premium subscription, the password keep in the pocket.  

The inside pages looks like...dotted pattern that is optimised for the updated mobile software as described here. I can see some challenges for me in 2015...

Travelogue ~ Japan 2014

As an art journaler , we are tends to keep all the evidence with us no matter the ephemera as small like a piece of receipt, food packaging even a fallen leaves. 

 For me, a trip to overseas is a luxurious things to do.

I grasped each of the moment in every trip that I have made. 

either in a page , Bangkok (2012), 

in a travelogue , Hong Kong (2013) , Korea (2011) and here , Silk Road (2009) .

    

 And of course not to forget the photo to take along each changing scene.

I use Muji notebook to record for the trip just because I like the beige colour cover and the pages. 

Incorporate the collage images from Artstronauts.
