The divination script that I gotten from one of the Kuan Yin Temple in Kuala Lumpur.

自小住在富貴家，眼前萬物總奢華。

蒙君賜紫金角帶，四海聲名定可誇。

Divination text：Was brought home to live in wealth, the immediate things a total luxury.
The Emperor gift the diagonal band, universal reputation can certainly boast.

However, the text cannot be interpret by reading the surface meaning. The meaning of the script depends on the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of a standardized process or ritual.

True North Art Visioning Workshop ~ 3

On the week 3, we are given those keys to use. There open up the doors of your dreams. What do you want to unlock ?

Areas that can be consider include work and career, finances, relationships, health, home, creativity.

In another workshop that I attended , "Capture your dream", what fascinates me in one of the exercise. Grab a pen and paper and start writing every dream that pops into your mind. Anything you aspire to do. Any goal you want to accomplish.

True North Art Vision Journaling Workshop ~ 2

For week 2

What do you stand for? What is important to you? What excites you?

We are requested to define our own core values.

Look what I get when I search the keyword ....CORE VALUE on net.

"The core values of an organization are those values we hold which form the foundation on which we perform work and conduct ourselves." (source : http://www.nps.gov/training/uc/whcv.htm)

Core values are the foundation of each person's life. Whether or not they are consciously considered, core values underlie the impact and contribution each person makes and the energy each brings to life, work and relationships. Understanding your core values and those of people with whom you are in relationship is a valuable step. (source : Core Value Institute)

True North Arts Vision Journaling Workshop - Week 1

It's already come to 3rd week of the workshop.

Ya. I know I'm so much behind in this workshop.

However, I love to read and re-read the prompts.

Find the images that really speak to me.

In the first week, Kathryn tolds us about ......
Relaxation helps to open our awareness so we can see what we truly want and to open ourselves to attracting positive things in our lives. The journal exercise is to create a visual representation of your happy place and the vision cards are affirmations and reminders of this week's message, "I can relax and let go."

Few weeks back, I faced hectic stress in my workplace.

This prompt came on time and really help me to release tensi0n.

"I'm in the place where I supposed to be. "

Serendipity and Synchronicity

The Sky and Earth

This month, Kathryn posted a prompt of Serendipity & Synchronicity in True North Art.

The colourful 12 Zodiac wheel ( some sort similar to concept of 'Luo Pan').
I found it in my drawer, the Chinese New Year card that I received last year.

( Kindly scroll to end of the post for the meaning of 'Luo Pan' / Chinese Compass)

***************************************************************

I realised that in most of the time, where I played in prompt / challenge, I'll allow / let my inner soul guide me to what the pages supposed to be.
I never anticipated what will be the final page look like.
However, I plan before but for sure the final page will not look alike what I had planned ~~ by added of some paints, ephemera, doodles, & etc.

I'm not too sure whether shall I call this SERENDIPITY and SYNCHRONICITY.

The Luo Pan / Chinese Compass

Luo means a net that encompasses everything and Pan means utensil or plate.
This allegorically refers to the union of Heaven and Earth and specifically to the electro magnetic field that holds all matter together.

Luo Pan is a very important tool to Feng Shui masters. Feng Shui masters need to use the Luo pan in their evaluation. The Luo pan is used to help them to determine the direction and orientation of buildings, rooms, furnitures, sites etc.

The different levels of feng shui information are contained in each ring of a Luo Pan.
