DisCo Revealed

I took part in Seth's Disintegration Collaboration(DisCo) project.

Bundles of papers & cards hanged on the fence.

Exposed to mother of nature ~ sunlight, wind, moonlight, hazes (happen few months ago)

The unsual extreme weather caused the bundle sagged.

Parents-in-law wonder why I hanged this outside the house :)

Recently, I have learned to bind my own book and addicted with it.

The papers only enough to make 1 book.

Just wonder shall I place the red heart or the heart-shape-dry leave in the 'hand'.

Got the cover paper from a paper bag which still robust even after months of explosure.

Everything, the strings/thread, paper, wires, cards was part of the 'DisCo' except the bead and recycle cardboard (used as the layer for the cover).

The magazine pages 'eaten up' together.

Use the wires that I wrapped the bundles for the binding.

Creative corner for kids

Another freebies for Saturday

Another oriental vintage images for personal used only !

Last week, in our workshop ~ Personal Retreat, we are finding our feel the best, the warmest, the calmest, the most comfortable, and the place where time seems to pass in relaxed enjoyment.
However, my creative-space is not big enough to allow me to have my own sacred area at this moment of time.

Kathryn proposed to make Retreat House Journal.
She is so clever :)

I glue the 2 angels with folded papers, so make them 'pop' out. when you open this page.

I really enjoy in her workshop.

The topic of Personel Retreat that will be talked about in this week is 'Contemplation'. Can't wait to start reading about it.

My wish for this week is .....

I wish to let go of my thought on how others people think of me.

Feeling so suck when friends / colleagues talked bad behind of me.
We are so close to each others and we work as a team ....
Ya..feeling upset and disappointing.

Retreat house

My class with Kathryn Antyr on Personal Retreat Online Workshop has started.
The topic of RETREAT is totally new to me.

Lesson 1 : Cultivating Awareness

According to Kathryn, "Retreats provide an opportunity to step out of the everyday busyness and offers a respite for the soul. To retreat is not to run or hide from our problems and responsibilities, but to quiet the busy mind and to listen to our hearts. It is in *being* not *doing* that we uncover our inner guide. Peace and joyfulness is found in our stillness. When we return from retreat we are restored, grounded, and prepared to live our life from a place of strength. "

When I enter into this Retreat & Creative Studio, " I Free Myself This Moment".

I'm creating my journal in house-shape.
A big and comfort sofa & books for reading that I find find inviting and relaxing.

Celebrate Mid Autum Festival

Chinese in Malaysia are celebrating Mid Autumn or Moon Cake Festival today,on the 15th of August Lunar Calendar. The Mid Autumn Festival is celebrated on a moderately grand scale compare to the Chinese New Year.

It is a time for the family members and friends to gather around to glaze and admire the full moon and at the same time savouring moon cakes and sipping Chinese tea.

The promotion leaflet was gave away by 1-Utama Shopping Centre in my working area.
I love it's vintage images.

We bought 2 painted lanterns for my two little princess (they like to call themselves princess) for festive celebration.

My children having fun time in carrying and parading lantern around our housing area.

Besides, not to forget about the MoonCake.

Each year confectioners gets more innovative and try to compete against each other with new version of fillings. However, I still like the traditional filling, i.e. lotus with egg yolks.

You may see there are lots of creative packaging of mooncakes in local shopping mall here.

Crusade 33 ~ Back to School

Once we start learning something new, we become excited again.

I've taken 2 online workshop in last months ago, i.e. 'Capture your dream' and Vision Journal Workshop. I enjoy both workshop and gather new knowledge, which is not limited to art only .

Besides, I also learn to bind my own pages into journal book.
I'm happy for the new try.

I have another class with Kathryn on her 'Personal Retreat' which to be started on 1 October.
I just love her class :)

I also plan to take another class in Doll Making.

What luxury do you wish for ?

Throughout the years, I lived in average.

I resisted in getting those branded cloths, bags & shoes.

So, my answer for this at this moment is T I M E .

I need more time to create, time to inspirational, time with family, time with friends & time for my ownself.

My wish for today is ~ Wisdom in spend the quality time and allocating those priority tasks.

Vision Board

I make my own vision board (also called a Treasure Map or Creativity Collage) . The collage images was torn out from various magazine and pasted on the poster board.

The process of getting those images :
Go through the magazines and cut out the images and begin to lay on the board.
As you lay the pictures on the board, you’ll get a sense how the board should be laid out.
For instance, the lady with the laptop and the travel suit case.

You may try to make one yourself.
