Winter Solstice

.

The Winter Solstice Festival or The Extreme of Winter (Chinese and Japanese: 冬至) is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Chinese and other East Asians during the dongzhi solar term on or around December 21 when sunshine is weakest and daylight shortest.

.

Traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to get together. One activity that occurs during these get togethers is the making and eating of Tangyuan (湯圓) or balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize reunion.

Our family trip for early Christmas

find_1
We went to Singapore for early Christmas celebration.

Mint* Museum of Toys is one of the place I found interested (for me and not the kids).
(* Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys)
The kids prefer playing/touching with them instead of just looking at.

The pic below shows the vintage Christmas Toys mainly from Japan, UK and USA.
This display mainly dedicate to this special season.

Those toys are display in the stairway and also occupied 4 levels of the museum.

Mini Book for December

IMG_7313

I intend to keep the habit of creating the mini book by monthly basis. Peek here for November mini book.

I utilised the past month brochure of Kinokuniya Book Store.

IMG_7315
Cut them into half.

IMG_7316
Some plain images from magazine cut out and covered the pages inside (like the following pic)
