CRUSADE 21 : Irresistible

GPP Street Team ~Crusade for this month is IRRESISTIBLE

{ Taking a rubbing texture and then creating a resist painting with it }

Did a lot of this in my school time :)

The belows DRAGON is taken up during my last year visit to one of the stone carving displayed in Taiwan's museum.

Another journal page

(i) CRAYON only

(ii) dabbed the background with distress ink, then rubbed with crayon.

(iii) The other way round. I rubbed the wax then dabbed with ink. Wiped the excess ink with baby wipes.

Another play with WING (from Belinda)

Other play with felt fusion ~~ the image not really turn out ok.

Lay ~ I am so happy to see what you've done here - all the experiments with rubbing in your journal! That is the perfect way to use your journal and to document all the ways you tested out the technique. Very fabulous - love the sunfaces AND the wings!!! Thanks for sharing with the team!!

I love all this variety! What great ideas, and it just shows how this crusade can open your eyes not only to the wax rubbing, but to any surfaces which can be used for any kind of rubbings! Thanks for sharing, Lay!

hello Lay ( I hope this is our first name...:) )

seems the crusades go all over the world when I see you are from Malaysia !
Your name is new for me, but I guess I'm the newcomer...

I love the dragon ( we all love fantasy at home, so we love dragons too...) The wings turned out very beautiful ! Are the ones your rubbed on made from rubber ?

The try outs in your journal are a great idea : I often forget to use mine in such way... ( I dumped my unsuccesful rubbings.. stupid... but I still have them on my blog...next time I save them in my journal !

greetings
inge ( from belgium)
