Part of Record of My Life ~ beautiful 30s

When I first peek at the Crusade 16 held in Michelle's blog, I feel really excited and say to myself that I gonna be in for this Crusade fever ~~~ Art Journal

Actually, it's not so difficult to come the journal.
Purchase a ring coil binded notebook. Print and cut the photo of your favorite entry , comments and paste them to the journal. Before doing so, decorate the blank page with paint, gesso, embellishment, or any else which cross your mind.

Some of the reason for me to do the visual journal
1) documenting a process of an art piece
2) simply attaching remnants from a memorable day
3) to paste the beautiful cut out / collage
4) record the impressed/ inspired blog
5) testing on the new technique
6) I still have a record even my blog went evaporate (hope it'll not happen)
7) and the important is ......IT IS PART OF RECORD OF MY LIFE

ART JOURNAL
I painted the cover with the acyclic paint. I wish to explore the used of gesso or spray in my next page.

(1) Cover page

(background's texture)

(2) 1st page ~ calligraphy (of course not by me)
'LOVe' of art

(2) one of the Pages

(3) one of pages

My others journal
I started journaling since I'm in school .

Travel journal ~ I used to record my destination, my thought, my new finding about the country that I visit.

Private journal

Pregnancy journal

Journal about Wen-Xin (the moments with my child and their development from days to days)

{Some pages in my pregnancy journal}

* My favorite blog which inspired me and which I admired at
Michelle Ward
Judy Wise
Mary Ann Moss
Ro Bruhn Art
and I believe there are still some talented artist that produce good piece of altered book/art journal in/out of the blog-land.

Lay - thank you for showing us all your journals, especially this new one with your blog posts on the pages. These are terrific, and I love how you incorporated so many elements - the photos, text, comments, and even the template for the icicle doll. Clever! And all your handwriting really personalizes the content. Glad to have you be on our team - you inpsire!

Lay,
I so enjoyed reading your post. Documenting your life, motherhood and your art....you will leave a magnificent record to rekindle memories for all of time. It must be amazing to read your girl hood and teen years diaries. If only I had been so disciplined as to save my earlier writing.

This is a great idea! I kept a written journal when I travelled across Canada and while living in Japan but didn't put pic in. I wish I had. It helps bring the journal to life.

Your journals are terrific! Thanks for sharing them.
